The Worthersee Tour in Austria is by far the largest Volkswagen and Audi gathering in the world. Lines upon lines of tuned cars, floods of people... It's like a Mardi Gras except with a focus on VWs and Audis.

Recently, Volkswagen addressed the magnitude of this event by developing various concepts to keep the VW passion going. Last year, you'll remember the GTI W12 650 widebody. This year's concepts weren't as dramatic but still eye-catching. The vehicle in question is called the Golf GTI Worthersee '09 edition. The first thing you'll notice is the paint - an outgoing Firespark metallic red. Black 19" wheels with a red pin stripe give it the Time Attack look. The most impressive upgrade is a completely new LED tail light design.

The interior features some new enhancements as well with brushed and black trim, red-accented floor mats and a special Worthersee tread plates. A newly-designed seat will be a hot item for OEM+ gurus. These special seats have an integrated head restaint with black and red color combination to match the exterior well.Performance wasn't overlooked either as this model comes with a lowered sport chassis and new sport exhaust. The engine remains a 2.0TSI with 207hp.
