Continental Announces Official Tire of Watkins Glen International - Web Exclusive

Feb 2, 2010

Continental Tire will become the official tire of Watkins Glen International Raceway (WGI) in New York. The sponsorship is the third part of a strategy to advance Continental Tire in the U.S. market. The addition of this sponsorship also reaffirms the company's commitment to GRAND-AM road racing series.

Under the agreement, Continental will be the title sponsor for the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge races at WGI, June 6-7; the race will be known as Continental Tire 150. Continental will have a yearlong signage presence at every event at Watkins Glen International Raceway including all sanctioning bodies. The package also includes generous promotional and VIP/hospitality opportunities at Grand Am events; rotating public address announcements and large screen video displays; and Continental logo identification and brand recognition in selected promotional material and publicity pieces.
