The app was recently upgraded to version 3.0 in order to help commuters maintain vehicle speeds within legal limits worldwide.

The new version is updated with new speed limits daily, where users can advise ASafeDrive staff of any speed limit changes and have it incorporated into the system. The upgrade also includes a viewable map screen that will tell you how fast your vehicle is moving in relation to the current area speed limit.

The application is one of the only speed-limit programs to utilize GPS POI Data (Street Data) as well as reverse geo-coding with Google Maps. Its full-screen display has an easy-to-read interface that shows both the commuter's current driving speed and compares it to the street-limit data of his current location.

The customizable program allows users to change the settings in the application to access a number of different warnings once the current speed limit is exceeded. The display also changes color from green to red as the driver's vehicle speed increases.

ASafeDrive 3.0 features:

- A large, easy-to-read interface displaying automobile speed using GPS and the speed limit of that street

Earlier this year, Subaru announced the WRX STI would get a 5-horsepower boost for 2019.
