Citroën has revealed the winning image in its 'unique' photo competition. A panel of judges selected the picture 'Angel' designed by David Dunne from Romford, Great Britain as the entry that embodied the expression of 'uniqueness'.

The photo also received more than 1130 public votes in the competition's on-line gallery.

The winning image, depicting a girl with angel's wings, was created by the movement of a firework sparkler.

The caption, submitted with the photo reads, "Only one sparkler in one movement could have created this. That sparkler is now gone, and can never be replaced... and an angel, no matter how artificial, will always be unique."

The contest, which ran on the Citroën DS3 microsite (www.ds3.citroen.com/uk), and was promoted via Citroën's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/citroenuk) challenged budding photographers to capture life's unique moments.

More than 1000 'unique' images were submitted for the grand prize - a stylish new Citroën DS3 for a year.
