2011 Lotus Evora S & Evora IPS Automatic - Web Exclusive

Lotus has announced the latest evolution of its award-winning Evora - the Evora S and Evora IPS.

Aug 26, 2010

Ahead of its official unveiling at the Paris Auto Show on September 30, Lotus has announced the latest evolution of its award-winning Evora - the Evora S and Evora IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) option. Lotus has taken the Evora and re-created it with a 350hp 3.5L V6 engine to create the Evora S.

It comes with a sport pack as standard, featuring a 'sport' button which allows the driver to control throttle response and activate the exhaust by-pass valve. The sport button also raises the rev limit and changes the dynamic stability control settings.

There are cross-drilled brakes for improved cooling. And a completely new active exhaust, which means that at the push of a button the car sounds as dramatic as it feels.

In addition, Lotus also presents the IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) option. This inception sees an automatic six-speed transmission with Lotus-developed transmission control and a 280hp 3.5L.

The IPS version allows the driver to switch between manual paddle shifts and automatic drive modes. The driver also has the option of selecting 'sport' mode to allow the driver to feel each gearshift and be in control of the transmission.
