Sure, big brake kits and fancy rotors help braking power, but the pads you choose equally have a huge effect on your stopping power. The new Bluestuff pads from EBC Brakes are designed for a variety of applications and are claimed to deliver an incredible 0.7 friction coefficient, while continuing to work at temps in excess of 1000°F. The pads are also streetable and said to last up to three times longer than EBC's Yellowstuff pads. Apparently, the pads were designed to be rotor-friendly, claiming half as much rotor wear than with semi-metallic pads. Grooves in the material are also designed to catch dirt and debris, preventing surface cracks.
