Garrett Boost Advisor iPhone App - Web Exclusive

The Garrett Boost Adviser is a free iPhone App that narrows down your turbo choices in minutes, if you’re thinking about upgrading or fitting a turbo to your car.

Feb 25, 2011

The app users input some basic information about their horsepower goals, engine characteristics, fuel type and the operating conditions for their chosen car. Then the Garrett Boost Adviser’s programming delivers the estimated boost pressure required to increase horsepower and torque to meet those goals, as well as giving you an idea of the resulting intake temperatures.

The app goes further by selecting the Garrett turbo that would be best suited to meet the goals.

The app can also plot two RPM points of the user’s choosing on compressor maps for a better understanding of exactly where the engine will be operating, removing much of the guesswork and intimidation that can plague the turbo selection process.

Results can be emailed or posted to Facebook. Users can also contact their nearest distributor using the program’s GPS capability for more information about their options.

The Garrett Boost Adviser is available for Apple devices but will quickly be migrated to other mobile devices and www.TurboByGarrett.com
