Limited Edition Ford Fiesta Sport - Web Exclusive

The Fiesta Sport will accelerate 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 121mph.

Despite the Fiesta's arrival in the US, this latest limited edition model is only intended for European markets at pesent.

Based on the popular three-door Ford Fiesta, which isn't available stateside, the limited edition Fiesta Sport + (which will be called Fiesta S1600 in the UK, Fiesta Sport S in Germany) is powered by an uprated?1.6-liter, Duratec Ti-VCT gasoline engine producing 134hp at 6700rpm, with 118 lb-ft torque at 4250rpm. The Fiesta Sport + will accelerate 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 121mph.

Externally, the sportiness is emphasized by a body-styling kit that includes a unique front bumper with flared lower valance, extended side skirts, large rear spoiler plus a rear diffuser. It is finished with 17-inch, white wheels. The newcomer's special paint finish is available in Frozen White or Performance Blue, with contrasting motorsport stripes.

The sporting style continues inside the car with heated, blue-stitched sports seats, standard side-airbags and leather steering wheel, handbrake cover and shift knob, plus Motorsport-branded floor mats and scuff plates.

Roelant de Waard from Ford of Europe, said: "Fiesta Sport + continues a 30-year sporting Fiesta tradition that began with the Mk1 XR2 in 1981. It demonstrates the creative engineering that Ford is offering with this great small car. With more power and unique features, the limited edition Fiesta Sport + will appeal to enthusiasts."

The Fiesta Sport + is initially available in Germany, UK, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium.
