Renault R-Space Concept at Geneva Motor Show - Web Exclusive

The driver enjoys a cockpit-like environment with a section of the floating dashboard being specifically dedicated to driving functions.

Renault introduces its newest concept car, the R-Space. It follows a similar philosophy of the manufacturer's multi-purpose vehicles with a monospace architecture to accommodate passengers comfortably. It also has a very flowing and sporty silhouette.

The tapered profile of the windows emphasizes the dynamic profile while the large windscreen and panoramic roof transform the compartment into a cozy place to be. The nose adapts the new identity of Renault. The body panels are shaped as sculptured volumes, meaning that the eye is drawn much more to reflections.

Renault's concept car strategy brings with it a progression in their colors as well. R-Space is clad in sweet honey-gold bodywork. The sweetness theme is also mirrored in the choice of materials including suede.

Perhaps the most notable feature are the double doors. There's no central pillar which helps give clear view to the entire interior.

The driver enjoys a cockpit-like environment with a section of the floating dashboard being specifically dedicated to driving functions.

At the rear, the space is flexible and versatile forming a simple and universal cube. The cube is a consistent theme in furniture design but not something one expects to come across in the world of cars.
