As final preparations for the “Ducati MotoGP Night” are made ready for the city-center event tonight on Friday, 4 March, Ducati has revealed two new Monster Art color schemes that are dedicated to Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi.
The two new GP Replica Monster Art schemes are dedicated to factory riders, Nicky “The Kentucky Kid” Hayden and Valentino “The Doctor” Rossi. Both kits have been inspired by the livery of the Desmosedici GP11, which will power both riders this year, with a white design presented on a background of red.
Each GP Replica is decorated with the riders’ respective logos and further personalized with Rossi’s signature flash of fluorescent yellow plus his famous number “46” and Hayden’s number “69”.
Both color schemes are available as accessories for the 696, 796, 1100 and 1100 S Ducati Monster, as well as the brand new Monster 1100EVO. They will be available as original colors on new Ducati Monsters in participating countries or can be bought separately for existing Monster owners.
First introduced in 2009, the innovative Monster Art project offered an additional range of colors to the standard factory options with a collection called “Color Therapy”, while in 2010 the introduction of the “Logomania” collection celebrated 50 years of historic Ducati logo styles.
The Monster Art program allows you to change the color and character of any Monster model in just 10 minutes.
Consisting of tank panels, micro-bikini fairing, single-seat cover and front mudguard, the kits have now become a modern canvas in the world of motorcycle art and a unique method of Monster personalization.
The new color schemes will be presented at the huge Ducati MotoGP Night with a program of entertainment including a concert and star-studded line-up of VIPs before the riders appear on stage with the MotoGP Desmosedici GP11.
The celebration, in Bologna’s Piazza Maggiore, is intended to be a passionate send-off to the Ducati Marlboro MotoGP Team prior to their first race of the year in Qatar later this month.
