EBC Brakes HQ Nears Completion - Web Exclusive

International braking specialists, EBC is nearing completion of its expanded rotor manufacturing premises and a new pressworks facility for making steel backing plates. The new EBC Brakes facility will increase floor space by four times over the current Northampton, UK location and allow the group’s continued expansion to continue.

The new facility will also have a shipping capability of 4500 parcels a day in addition to palletized distribution to wholesaler accounts. This will allow it to ship on-time to more customers, fulfilling more orders. A new fleet of Linde mechanical handling equipment is being delivered along with Mezzanine and storage from British manufacturers Link. The Building was designed and constructed by the Northampton firm Warwick Burt.

Twenty-four additional new jobs have been created within the new facility, which takes EBC Brakes worldwide payroll to more than 400 staff. EBC Brakes produce the world’s largest range of brake components for cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, mountain bikes and even industrial equipment and railway rolling stock.
