Just in time for Christmas, Need for Speed is releasing its new title that will be called The Run. It involves a 3000-mile race that takes place between San Fran and NYC as players attempt to evade the police, enemies and vicious street racing gangs.

New to this title will be the ability for players to leave their vehicle and operate on foot in certain parts of the game, no doubt inspired by Grand Theft Auto’s popularity.

As with any NFS game, it’s all about the machinery, and new metal for The Run includes the new Lamborghini Aventador as well as the McLaren MP4-12C and Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake for some diversity.

Players will take on the role of Jack Rourke, navigating through open freeways, big cities, narrow canyons as well as icy mountain passes. As before, you can do this with the Autolog feature, that instantly tells your friends what times you’ve set and encourage them to try to beat you.

The Run features an online multiplayer modes as well as a single-player challenge that will be offered on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and 3DS from Nov 15.
