Described by Jeremy Clarkson on BBC Top Gear as the automotive equivalent of a training shoe, Citroën and fashion brand, Gio-Goi have collaborated to create a limited edition shoe inspired by the Citroën DS3 Racing.
The distinctive high-top sneaker, named DS3 Racing Shoe by Gio-Goi, takes inspiration from the car’s high-quality materials and visual styling, such as the sculpted 18” wheels and sporty orange grille.
The shoes are finished in the car’s eye-catching black and orange color scheme, using black, tumbled full-grain leather with a waxy finish to give the shoe a soft, luxurious feel.
The soft leather lining, foam padded tongue and flexible rubberized sole add to the comfort, ensuring it flexes perfectly with the movement of the foot.
The combination of black leather and mesh on the collar was borrowed from the car’s seats, while the pattern on the sole is a re-interpretation of the curves in the wheels and the grid pattern on the front of the car.
Gio-Goi branded lace-tips in a choice of two colors add the finishing touch to these high-tops.
The DS3 Racing Shoe by Gio-Goi is a strictly limited edition line of footwear with just 100 pairs being produced, some of which will be available to purchase. With a recommended retail price of around $190, the shoes will be sold on www.gio-goi.com/ds3racing
