Following last year's announcement that Ducati and Mercedes AMG would be collaborating on marketing and promotional projects, the two companies announced the debut of the Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition, which will appear at the Frankfurt auto show later this month.

The 2012 Diavel model has been designed as a tribute to the AMG brand following its sponsorship of the Ducati MotoGP Team.

Based upon the Diavel Carbon model, the Diavel AMG Special Edition features AMG's signature five-spoke wheel styling, carbon fiber lateral radiator grilles with aluminum trim, AMG-style sports exhaust system with engraved end-caps and AMG-style ribbed seat upholstered in Alcantara.

Further underlining the model's exclusivity, each motorcycle will have a numbered plaque on the fuel tank.

The Diavel AMG is dressed in matte black carbon fiber bodywork with AMG's "Diamond White Bright" stripe and frame color, contrasted by black wheels. The special edition wheels, seat and exhaust end-caps are all AMG branded while "AMG" is also laser-engraved into the air-duct panels either side of the fuel tank. The bike will be accompanied by a specially designed leather jacket and helmet, all of which will be available in early 2012, with orders being taken following its debut in Frankfurt.
