The famous Mini festival and celebration has been scheduled for 2012 and, following the successful appearance at Silverstone Circuit in England for 2009, the event will be moving to Circuit Paul Ricard in France for what promises to be another spectacular weekend.
Mini aficionados and music fans should set aside the weekend of May 11-13, 2012 and head to Le Castellet – or, more precisely, the Circuit Paul Ricard – in France. The circuit played host to Formula One races for several decades, but for this event it will play host a line-up featuring live music acts, motorsport and lifestyle action.
Some 25000 fans from more than 40 countries flocked to Silverstone for the 2009 Mini United festival to celebrate not only the third mass gathering, but also the 50th anniversary of the brand’s founding, many attracted by a live performance by Paul Weller, among others.
However, the Circuit Paul Ricard offers enough space for even that number to be exceeded. Live appearances by leading musicians and DJs will compete with stunt shows and driving experiences on the track, exhibitions and the exclusive presentation of a new Mini to ensure an attractive al fresco party.
An extensive entertainment program for younger fans is also guaranteed, as are a broad spread of culinary treats laid on by various restaurants, bars and catering stations.
