Valentino Rossi in Ford Fiesta RS WRC at Monza Rally Show 2011 - Web Exclusive

Multiple world champion Valentino Rossi brought a dash of his signature fluorescent yellow and a different class of racing pedigree to the Monza Rally Show held in Italy last week.

"The Doctor" captivated the crowds with some spectacular performances behind the wheel, keeping tens of thousands of people on their feet into the packed grandstands all weekend.

Outside the garage for his three-car team, fans paid tribute to their icon and created an amazing atmosphere wherever he went. Rossi rewarded them not only with superb driving but also with many autograph sessions and photo opportunities.

Around the Monza circuit, Rossi was consistently able to mix it up with the very best driver. In fact, the two-wheeled champion managed to grab two stage wins of his own.

With the participation of eight-times World Rally champion, Sebastien Loeb, it wasn't always Rossi's name at the top of the timesheets. However, Valentino was brutally fast and, after three days worth of intense driving, his two 2 wins meant he was only separated from Loeb by 24 seconds. So he stood proudly on the podium in second spot ahead of some other WRC greats.

Rossi and Loeb would later go head-to-head in the final race of the Masters Show, with Valentino making his only error of the weekend to again take second on the podium.
