Bringing a very public face to Fiat’s cooperation with Chrysler are these two specially prepared 468hp Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 models. They were delivered to Scuderia Ferrari Formula One drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa at the Fiorano circuit in Maranello, Italy for their personal transport.
The identical vehicles each feature an aggressive SRT exterior finished in the unmistakable Rosso Corsa signature red paint. The iconic, seven-slot Jeep front grille was painted matte black with red inserts. A race-inspired black stripe with a white accent was applied to the front and rear bumpers, hood, roof and rear spoiler.
Additional details included a matte black-painted sunroof, carbon fiber mirror caps and a gloss-black rear light bar with red accents on the Jeep logo.
To complete the unique exterior, the Italian flag was painted on the underside of the rear spoiler as a tribute to the Ferrari F150º racecar. The ride height was lowered 1.5” and both vehicles ride on 20” forged wheels, which were also painted black.
The cabin was also enhanced with Ferrari Red leather inserts on the seats. The door panels, center armrest and instrument panel boast red leather as well.
The leather-wrapped SRT8 steering wheel features red contrasting stitching, while the instrument cluster has yellow dials to give the a look of a Ferrari GT car.
