Volkswagen was honored with four awards from the online industry for the 21st Century Beetle website. It scooped the prizes for best automotive website, best navigation and structures well as best visual design and function.

The Webby Award is the leading award for excellence on the internet in the categories of websites, interactive advertising & media, Oonline film & video, as well as mobile & apps. The awards will be presented in New York on May 21.

The International Academy of the Digital Arts and Sciences presents the Webby Awards (also known as the "Oscars of the Internet") every year.

The Web community decides on the favorites in each category, nominating the winners of the People's Voice Award. Here, too, www.beetle.com came out top as Best Automotive Website 2012.
