Hot on the heels of its world premiere at the Geneva International Auto Show earlier this year, GTI fans at the legendary, week-long Wörthersee event in Austria had the chance to experience the new car up close.

The key components of this dynamic soft top are the 210hp 2.0TSI engine, fitted for the first time in the Golf Cabriolet. It will be available with either a manual or DSG transmission.

A standard feature for all customers is the XDS electronic differential lock to ensure perfect traction and stability.

To complete the picture, the hot hatch is fitted with 17” Denver wheels or the optional 18” Detroit.

The car also gets a new rear diffuser with chrome tailpipes.
