MINI has unveiled a new two-seat five-door delivery van based on the Clubman platform. While MINI is in the midst of identifying its self beyond just the cooper the company has been experimenting with concept cars , special editions and expanding the lineup with the new Countryman.
The MINI Clubvan is a vehicle built with the urban business user in mind. The comeback of the corner store is what inspired MINI to develop the car to help with the needs of efficient deliveries with style; complete with a driver partition and a slightly elevated level cargo platform. Classified as a commercial vehicle the Clubvan does come with a lower tax rate. Along with the delivery car features the same high level of MINI customization options still apply. Leather seats, 6.5” LCD display, and even a six-speed manual transmission is just some of the many ways to make the Clubvan part of your companies identity. Available in the United States Fall 2012, the Clubvan will come in White, Ice Blue, British Racing Green, Green Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic. The 120hp MINI Cooper engine will be the only engine available…for now.
We are looking forward to seeing what companies opt for the Clubvan, and more importantly how they customize them. Maybe one day MINI will slap a John Cooper Works engine in one for those time sensitive businesses.
