BMW North America has partnered with Skip Barber to produce one of the final special edition E92 M3 Coupes, the Lime Rock Park Edition. Each of the 200 to be built will come in Fire Orange paint with anthracite and black cloth seats timed in Nappa leather. The factory Competition Package comes standard for each vehicle. Retaining it’s carbon fiber composite roof the Lime Rock Park Edition adds front and rear carbon fiber aerodynamic aids along with an Anthracite Alcantara-covered–flat bottomed steering wheel. To add to the laundry list of unique BMW racing parts is a numbered plaque located on the center console with a matching unique decal on the left rear quarter window.

“A newcomer looks at the track map and thinks, ‘Oh, this is easy.’ It’s not. Lime Rock is an extremely difficult track to drive quickly. It has three of what many drivers think are some of the most challenging corners in North America.”
–Barber.

Eloquently explaining why this track earns its name on the special series M3– Barber reinforces the performance edge BMW has been able to maintain and exceed in the E92 chassis. By adding some professional driver input on a difficult track you can achieve a near perfect car for any track day adventure.

While the U.S. may not be seeing the coveted M3 GTS on her roads, the Lime Rock Park Edition seems to be as close as you can get to the model without going completely broke. Pricing starts at $70,995, including $895 destination and handling.
