Porsche’s 918 debuted a few years ago and has kept public interest with a steady dose of production reality. Today they gave us automotive knuckle-heads something to drool over, their 918 in Martini® livery.

Harking back to the company and team’s dominance throughout Le Mans in the early 70’s. Inciting childlike fantasies of high speed overtaking down Mulsanne straight. The new 918 Spyder Prototype aims to reignite this hidden barbaric passion through its modern Martini® racing graphics.

The Porsche 918 boasts a 570hp mid-engine V8 coupled with a 70kW electric motor mounted on the front axel along with a 90kW hybrid rear mounted module, topping out the overall power output at 770hp.

Body:Two-seater Spyder; carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) monocoque interlocked with CFRP unit carrier; two-piece Targa roof; fixed roll-over protection system.
Drivetrain: Parallel full hybrid; 4.6-litre V8 mid-engine with dry-sump lubrication; hybrid module with electric motor and decoupler; electric motor with decoupler and gear unit on front axle; electrical system recuperation; four cooling circuits for motors, transmission and battery; thermal management.
