The wet dream of many Volvo tuners is finally here. Polestar and Volvo have announced that a limited run, 250 to be exact, of C30 T5 R-Design tuned models will be available for sale in the United States.

The 2.5L turbocharged engine receives a generous massage from Volvo’s coveted tuning house partner Polestar. The software pumps in an additional 23hp and 37 lb.ft. A set of 17-inch Styx Alloy wheels in matte black, and R-Design exterior enhancements (grille, body kit, and interior watch dial, aluminum inlays, sport steering wheel and pedals) help bring a more aggressive look to the car. All 250 models will be painted in iconic Rebel Blue and come with plenty of Polestar badges.

Inside, the seats are covered in premium leather of off-black or two-tone black and calcite. Less we forget that each car comes with its own aluminum number plate signifying it’s a legitimate model from the factory.

R-Design suspension and steering enhancements are also included providing a sporty experience. Not often something synonymous with the Volvo nameplate.

MSRP is $32,445, which includes a $895 destination charge. Putting the Volvo hot hatch in the arena of the VW Golf R 2-door.
