Italian motorcycle manufacturer Bimota traditionally uses engines from other manufacturers and places them within sculptural chassis of their own. The latest partnership will see the very powerful four-cylinder engine from the BMW S1000RR used in a new Bimota model, with the initial concept on show at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.

Not only does the engine boast 193hp at 13000rpm but is also incredibly light, at just 130 lb. It will restore a partnership first began in 1995 with the Bimota BB1 Supermono. It was a single-cylinder supersports model with the 48hp BMW F650 engine. Production ended in 1996 but the machine had a good reputation and featured Bimota's trademark detailing and build quality.
