The Black Magic Formula DRIFT Pro Championship presented by BlackVue has just announced a partnership with AutoCon to produce the car shows held at both of the Southern California events for the 2017 season.

"The car show element of our events is always a great addition for the fans,” said Ryan Sage, Vice-President and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “By working with AutoCon some of the best vehicles in the region will be put on display during the Long Beach and Irwindale events.”

AutoCon is a bit different from the previous car show collabs that took place during Formula Drift in recent years. As opposed to the shows hosted by partners such as Fatlace and Wekfest that catered mainly to stance and drift cultures, AutoCon shows have featured vehicles from a wider spectrum of enthusiast subcultures.

In addition to the unique vehicles and live DJs, AutoCon’s main feature is their Drive-Up Stage, which they named “AutoCon Avenue.” This stage allows high-profile vehicles in the show to drive up in front of a live audience giving them the opportunity to experience the cars starting up, listen to the quality sound of their exhaust notes, and get information about the specs, build progress, and overall favorability of the car by the owner.

The AutoCon car show will be held at the first and last events of the 2017 Black Magic Formula DRIFT Pro Championship presented by BlackVue, which of course are The Streets of Long Beach on March 31st through April 1st, as well as The Title Fight round at Irwindale Speedway on October 13-14th.
