We’ve praised the content-palooza of Motor Trend OnDemand (MTOD) – our sister brand’s video hub for motorsports coverage, long-form episodic auto enthusiast programming, and historical automotive videos – here before, but news dropped recently that should sweeten the deal considerably for fans of pro drift. Formula DRIFT, the highest profile championship in North America (and soon, the world!), has revealed it’s signed a two-year deal with MTOD to distribute Formula D’s television content from the CBS Sports Network.
The distribution deal will see all 20 of Formula D’s CBS television programs distributed on the MTOD network no less than five days after the original airing on CBS Sports. Motor Trend OnDemand will also carry archival shows from previous years of the Formula D Championship, and MTOD will also become a promotional partner of Formula DRIFT by promoting the Series and its live stream on MTOD's range of social media channels.
Motor Trend OnDemand is a premium subscription video on-demand service available across multiple devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets. It’s home to over 800 annual hours of international motorsport coverage and 60 live streamed events on an exclusive basis in North America, covering series like DTM, V8 Supercars, the British Touring Car Championships, UK Bike Road Racing, Blancpain Sprint and Endurance series, Pirelli World Challenge, MotoAmerica, and Endurocross. MTOD also features original programming from our mother ship TEN’s portfolio of popular shows, such as Epic Drives, Roadkill, Head2Head, Ignition, and Dirt Every Day, and motorsport and original programming are supplemented by an archive of hard-to-find and historical videos, as well as a selection of feature films, documentaries, and television series all with an automotive angle.
