Formula DRIFT Signs On With Motor Trend OnDemand

The premium subscription video on-demand service will carry FD’s CBS TV programming as well as archival shows

Aug 3, 2016

We’ve praised the content-palooza of Motor Trend OnDemand (MTOD) – our sister brand’s video hub for motorsports coverage, long-form episodic auto enthusiast programming, and historical automotive videos – here before, but news dropped recently that should sweeten the deal considerably for fans of pro drift. Formula DRIFT, the highest profile championship in North America (and soon, the world!), has revealed it’s signed a two-year deal with MTOD to distribute Formula D’s television content from the CBS Sports Network.

The distribution deal will see all 20 of Formula D’s CBS television programs distributed on the MTOD network no less than five days after the original airing on CBS Sports. Motor Trend OnDemand will also carry archival shows from previous years of the Formula D Championship, and MTOD will also become a promotional partner of Formula DRIFT by promoting the Series and its live stream on MTOD's range of social media channels.
