Gears of War 4 Livery For Matt Field’s S14 Breaks Cover

Texas Round winner unveils re-skin ahead of this weekend’s Formula D season finale

Oct 5, 2016

Fresh off the first pro win of his Formula DRIFT career in Texas, Matt Field unveiled today the new livery his car will be rocking for the season finale this weekend at the House of Drift, Irwindale Events Center, in Irwindale, Calif. Field’s Nissan S14 240SX will ditch the highlighter yellow motif it’s had all year in favor of a red and black theme from a Gears of War 4 livery designed especially for Round 8. Additionally, GOW4 signage will decorate the racing facility and a commercial will air on the jumbotron over the course of the event.

The game marketing campaign is part of a larger effort by Xbox that includes a bonus contingency prize of an Xbox One S console and $2,500 to the highest-placing Formula D driver with a Gears of War 4 decal on their car. The award is open to any FD driver that places a provided Gears of War 4 decal on their vehicle. The highest finishing driver of the event will receive the prize.

Furthermore, Gears of War 4 will be sponsoring the “2016 Ace of the Year” award during the Formula DRIFT awards banquet on Sunday, October 9. The award will be given to the driver that had the most head-to-head victories during the season.
