Global Time Attack NOLA Looking For Entries

Sign ups are open for Round 2 of the 2015 GTA Championship with NOLA Speed & Style

Sep 28, 2015

We’ve been gearing up for our Southern California-based events this mid-October – the Super Street FF Battle, Import Tuner Show Car Shootout, and european car VW Golf Tuner GP – but if you happen to be more Southeast US, have we got a gig for you. October 17 and 18, our buddies at Global Time Attack (GTA) will be part of the 2015 NOLA Speed & Style event at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, La., and they’re looking for a few good drivers, race teams, and performance shops to join them.

Like a handful of other events that have risen to prominence over the last few years, NOLA Speed & Style is something of an auto enthusiast music festival without the music, claiming to offer something for everyone. The venue layout includes a 2.75-mile road course, 7-acre autocross/drift track, 15,000 square-foot indoor VIP car show area, 50-acre outdoor car show area, karting track, and bouncy houses for the kids.

GTA is currently accepting entries for Round 2 of its 2015 Championship, which is running in conjunction with NOLA Speed & Style. If you want to time attack your car on a world-renowned road course, GTA has a class for your vehicle. No invite is needed to compete; registration is open to all. Any questions about signing up can be directed to info@globaltimeattack.com.

Earlier this year, Subaru announced the WRX STI would get a 5-horsepower boost for 2019. No, it wasn’t much, but at least the STI would no longer be outgunned by the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang. Subaru’s latest special edition STI, however, comes with a much less underwhelming boost in power. It’s called the WRX STI TC 380, and
