Well this is the cutest damn thing we've seen all day. In advance of the 2015 Japan Camper Show, Honda revealed what it'll be bringing to its booth, and among the fare is this kei car and its camper - the N-Truck and N-Camp concepts. The micro pickup and towable trailer will be among a complement of five vehicles the Big H is planning to exhibit at the event.
The N-Truck light pickup concept is based on the N-Box subcompact revealed a couple years ago. The N-Camp (encamp?) was developed expressly for the N-Truck and features a loft bed that purportedly fits two adults (which begs the question: are we talkin' about J adults or bulkier American adults?) The interior is also apparently modular (the press release was entirely in Japanese so we're relying entirely on Google's translation).
There's a better than average chance the N-truck and N-Camp will never see production, and if they do we're betting they'll never come Stateside. But if you happen to be in Japan February 13 to 16, it might be kinda cool to check them out along with the rest of the show. The 2015 Japan Camper Show will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture (home of the Tokyo Auto Salon), and for more information head over to the show's website.
