There is nothing we love more than Honda’s that are made to work. Nothing epitomizes this theory more than the cars in the WTCC. With engine displacement, and technology limitations, as well as spec tire sizes, it all comes down to a battle of who has the skill and the best platform set up to take home a title. The WTCC is one of the most action packed race series out there. Each year drivers and manufacturers spend countless hours on chassis production, and set up all in the name of a championship. This year Honda Clinched the manufacturers title all thanks to some stellar driving from Montiero and Tarquini at the WTCC event held in Sonoma, CA. With a 2nd and 1st place finish in two different races, they made sure to give Honda the podium in the manufacturers points race.
“Tarquini's victory in the second race at Sonoma also meant that Honda mathematically secured the WTCC Manufacturers' Championship in its first full season in the series. After starting in second place, it took only two corners for Tarquini to pass pole-sitter Mehdi Bennani (BMW), and the Italian led for the remainder of the 13-lap race to take a comfortable victory”www.racesonoma.com

While there was plenty of excitement to be seen on the WTCC side of things. the USTCC competition was also filled to the brim with talent. The USTCC is so appealing to us because the field is full of racers with tons of talent and much less budget then the factory backed teams over on the WTCC side. Grassroots racing is at the core of what makes us all want to make our cars go faster and it's exactly why all of us go nuts over track times. It was nice to see these guys pushing so hard.
