I want every car in this issue. I’m serious, I really would love to own every one of these cars in this issue, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Many of my friends know I’ve got a very high standard for cars. It’s not just the parts, craftsmanship, or performance that has to be up to par; it’s how everything comes together. "The whole is greater than the sum of all its parts," really holds true. We’re not looking for cars where the owner’s purchased every part offered for their car. We want well-rounded cars built with dope-ass parts that not only drive well, but look badass while doing it. We don’t want a track car, we don’t want a show car; we want the perfect balance between both. That’s what we aspire our street cars to become.
Take our cover car, for example. This is not your typical RX-7 with 500 whp race car nor is it a show car with eight subwoofers mounted in the engine bay. It’s got parts like AP Racing brakes and a custom Atomic Rex billet aluminum steering rack—stuff you won’t see on a street car, yet this car is driven on the street and has never seen a show. On the other hand, the car has ASM edition Recaro seats that are so baller you won’t see them on a track car.
The same balance happens across the board with all the cars featured in this issue. Jared’s 240SX is not a missile car and not a trailer queen. It’s 100 percent of everything you want to do with your street build. Most of the cars out there that I’d say are nice still have a couple things I’d change about them. This time, however, I’d say all these cars are dead-on with what we’re trying to showcase to you guys.
Enjoy your car life and see you next month.
