Hankook Tire Launches Enhanced Web Site - Web Exclusive

WAYNE, N.J., August 4, 2009 – Hankook Tire today announced the launch of its redesigned website,, upgraded to deliver up-to-date information on Hankook’s product line-up as well enhance online customer experience and service with state of the art Web 2.0 functionality. Keeping with Hankook’s global marketing drive to increase awareness of the brand as well as the class-leading technology behind its high-performance tires, the new site enhances Hankook’s image as a top global tire maker. International exhibition activities are also highlighted on the site through various television ads and films that include video from SEMA, Auto Beijing and Tokyo Auto Salon. “In addition to a refreshed look and feel, Hankook’s new web site boasts a user friendly interface, including more videos and graphics,” said Richard Kim, IT Web programmer, Hankook Tire America Corp. “Consumers will easily be able to navigate the site as they tap into a wealth of Hankook product information now available online.”

The new Tire Finder function and one stop registration process helps establish an easy way for customers to become part of the Hankook family. The Tire Finder enables enriched search functionality to help customers find the right tire for their vehicle and driving experience while the improved registration process allows Hankook customers to receive instant online mailings notifying them about Hankook’s promotions and events. The site also makes it easy for consumers to locate a Hankook dealer in their area to answer questions and assist them with their purchase decision. “We are constantly looking for ways to improve customers’ experience with Hankook Tire as we grow our North American business,” said Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communications, Hankook Tire America Corp. “As more customers go online to learn about tire products, we want to help them understand the latest tire technology offerings and help them match their vehicle and lifestyle to our products and industry-leading warranties.”

Consumers will not be the only audience to benefit from the site upgrades, Hankook dealers will continue to have access to tools that help their business, including Hankook’s web-based order tracking system. The site also features a new motorsports section, which keeps fans up to speed on Hankook’s involvement with Formula Drift and Time Attack through online video, picture galleries, schedules and recaps of weekend events. The Services and Support section features a new quality policy section and tire care guide on Tire Safety.
