Nissan GT-R AMS Performance - Spinout

Jul 1, 2010

AMS SR850 GT-R First In The 9s

Nissan's GT-R provides supercar thrills and performance without the six-digit price tag. AMS Performance has built a number of wicked-fast Mitsubishi Evolutions, so the company is no stranger to turbocharged AWD drama. The SR850's big claim to fame is becoming the first GT-R to run a 9-second quarter-mile, blasting a 9.89 at 145 mph at the TX2K10 motorsports event in Texas. The AMS package delivers custom AMS ball-bearing turbochargers, 3-inch intercooler piping, and upgraded intercooler, a 3.5-inch AMS exhaust system, an upgraded fuel system, bigger wastegates and tuning via a Cobb AccessPORT ECU flash. Power output jumps 75 percent over stock to an astounding 850 hp on race gas and 750 hp on pump gas - that tranny must be feelin' the abuse.
