Sony/Toyota Club Sport Challenge

They will offer an exclusive media experience inside the world of international racing at Willow Springs Race Way in Willow Springs, CA.

Jan 20, 2011

Toyota & Sony Playstation are teaming up to provide a few select members of the media the ultimate virtual reality experience that will test their metal behind the wheel of a SCCA Toyota Yaris in Playstations’ Gran Turismo 5 and on the track at Willow Springs. Video game enthusiasts believe games have become so authentic their skills would translate to the track. It is time to test that theory.

Toyota and Sony have teamed up to find out who is the best at both. They will offer an exclusive media experience inside the world of international racing at Willow Springs Race Way in Willow Springs, CA. Attending media will be competing against celebrities such as Joe and Coy Gibbs (Famous racing family), Joey Logano (Toyota’s NASCAR driver), Jamie Bestwick (#1 BMX Vert rider) and Toyota Team Rider, Davi Millsaps with the combined virtual + reality score determining the winner. At the end of the experience they will have enjoyed the heart-pumping exhilaration of the world’s most popular racing video game and an on track experience typically reserved for professional drivers.
