Feb. 24, 2011 –Imagine the ability to match a turbocharger to your engine in minutes, right from the palm of your hand! The Garrett® Boost Adviser application does just that and more.
App users first input basic information about their own horsepower goals, engine characteristics, fuel type and the operating conditions for their application. Then the Garrett® Boost Adviser’s sophisticated programming delivers the estimated boost pressure required to increase horsepower and torque, and the resulting intake temperatures. The app then goes further to select the Garrett® Turbochargers that are best suited to meet the user’s goals. The Garrett® Boost Adviser also provides for the plotting of two RPM points of the user’s choosing on compressor maps for a better understanding of exactly where the engine will be operating, removing much of the guessing and intimidation that used to plague the process of turbo selection! Results can be emailed or posted to Facebook.com to share with others. Users can also contact their nearest distributor using the program’s GPS capabilities for more information on their options.
The Garrett® Boost Adviser will be available for Apple devices and will quickly be migrated to other mobile devices and www.TurboByGarrett.com.
For more information on the Garrett® Boost Adviser, please visit www.TurboByGarrett.com or the Apple iTunes store for a free download.
