New Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape Keeps Electrical Connections Together and Insulated

Creates a flexible, vinyl polymer seal that's both waterproof and durable

Feb 25, 2011

Hartford, CT… Permatex®, an innovative leader in chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair, has just launched Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape, a handy and easily applied sealant formulated to bond and insulate electrical connections. It goes on as a liquid and creates a flexible, vinyl polymer seal that's both waterproof and durable. This liquid tape allows you to completely cover wire and cable connections to prevent air, dirt, and moisture from impeding the flow of electrical current.

Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape is easy to apply, especially in hard-to-reach places. It adheres to a variety of surfaces and eliminates the need for electric tape or shrink tubing. Unlike traditional roll tapes, which can break off and contaminate or interfere with components, Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape dries to the touch in less than 5 minutes and forms a tough seal that will not shred, tear or unravel.

Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape is UV and chemically resistant. It won't degrade when exposed to light or harsh substances, and is effective under extreme conditions. The liquid tape stays pliable in temperatures ranging from -50 ºF to 275 ºF. This convenient liquid tape is extremely versatile and ideal for use in protecting electrical connections in automotive, marine and home applications, including trailer hitch lighting, battery terminal connections, auxiliary light connections, speaker wires, stereo systems, alarm systems, bilge pumps, and control panel wiring.

Permatex Liquid Electrical Tape comes in a convenient 4 oz. brush-top bottle.
