Fort Mill, SC – (June 30, 2010) – The ultimate tires for performance and off-road conditions, General Tire, stormed the big screen April 29 as the official tire of the much anticipated fifth installment of The Fast and The Furious series, Fast Five. To celebrate the film’s release, General held the Fast Five Sweepstakes and announced the five lucky winners.
Daniel Luscomb of Garland, Texas, won the incredible grand prize — a trip for two to Brazil, the location where the movie was filmed. Jennifer Brown of Cortland, Ohio, took home a world-famous custom Fast Five Gibson guitar, and Christa Lewis of Clayton, N.C.; Loc Do of Garden Grove, Calif.; and Theodore Becker of Dixon, Ill.; were the lucky recipients of four brand-new General tires.
The movie, which was number one at the box office opening week and saw more than $500 million in worldwide sales, was the first of the series to be shown on the larger-than-life IMAX screen. The star-studded cast — Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson — has a serious need for speed, and they find it in this incredibly fast-paced, intense film.
