Sep 16, 2011

Newbury Park, Calif. (September 15, 2011) – Global Time Attack, the standard-bearer in North American timed road racing, is taking its race coverage to the next level by using Replay XD1080 cameras to capture the action and broadcast its events live around the world. The Global Time Attack Series will wrap-up the 2011 race season by giving online viewers the ability to sit shotgun in some of the most powerful import track machines in the world directly through the lens of a Replay camera, streaming live.

“We are excited to have Replay XD on board to help us capture the essence of what time attack racing is all about”, said John Naderi of GTA. “The quality of video shot on the XD1080 is stunning and will give our viewers a crystal clear shot on every lap”. The Replay XD1080 camera has been revolutionizing the high definition POV camera category since its release in early May. Replay’s latest HD model has been a part of the action at motorsports events all over the world, from RallyX at the X-Games to record-setting runs at the Pike’s Peak hill climb and even at over 400mph in the fastest cars on earth at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

“We already had a relationship with Chris Rado and the WORLD Racing Scion time attack team, considered by many as one of the fastest and most sophisticated sport compact road racing outfits in the world,” said Replay XD President John Spar. “Cementing a relationship with the Global Time Attack series means now we can help all the teams show the world just how exciting their cars and this sport really are. We can’t wait to get on the track.”

Replay XD was designed by a group of racing professionals with over 50 years of experience in the high performance racing industry. The development team saw the need for ultra-lightweight cameras that could capture never before seen video footage from the most extreme racing and action environments on earth. The Replay XD1080 has been put through the most grueling conditions possible and has come out unscathed with crystal clear footage. Replay's goal is to bring you the most technologically advanced recording systems available today.
