How does the idea of a performance-upgraded EVO X sound? Probably sounds petty good if you’re reading this magazine, and it’s not a new idea. But what if you could buy a car that had been tested and developed on track, can be used on the street, and was a turnkey option instead of building the car yourself? Sounds better yet… But here’s the kicker: What if this car, which makes 353 hp and 358 tq, comes equipped with special JRZ suspension, Volk wheels, upgraded brakes, Nitto tires, and Voltex bodywork, came with a warranty backed by Mitsubishi? Sound too good to be true?! It’s not.

This crazy idea is not so crazy after all — the 311RS by Ryan Gates is now available for pre-orders. Ryan has a long history of racing, and it’s his commitment and dedication that has made this idea materialize into the prototype you see before you. Made famous in the time attack world by his relentless pursuit of speed and the podium, Ryan Gates isn’t exactly some nobody who simply slapped some parts on an EVO X. The 311RS has been developed in partnership with AMS Performance, JRZ Suspension, Nitto Tire, Rays, GiroDisc brakes, Evasive Motorsports, with interior upgrades from Etnies.
