It seems Mugen Euro has been busier than Mugen’s home base division in Japan. The latest Mugen Euro/Honda UK creation, a follow-up to the limited edition Civic Type-R MUGEN in 2010, is a 130-mph CR-Z that impresses with some great numbers.

The Mugen CR-Z’s Civic Type-R–like performance comes from a 50 percent jump in gasoline power to an impressive 175 hp. An intercooled centrifugal supercharged is the big power player, and it’s joined by exhaust mods and significant ECU tuning. The Mugen magic drops a full 3 seconds off the CR-Z’s 0–60 times, and we hope it’s a sign of good things headed our way over here stateside.
