We’ve all seen photos of the production-based Subaru BRZ, but the BRZ Concept STI looks like it could be the bigger, faster and meaner brother. Dressed in aggressive, sleek, low, and tightly coiled bodywork and splashed with WR Blue Pearl II paint, this concept represents everything we’d dream of having in a RWD sports car. To live up to that promise, Subaru has lightened and lowered the car and installed a trick STI-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes and unique 18-inch wheels and tires. If the concept graduates to production, the big question is, what will the STI version pack under the hood? The BRZ’s 2.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer engine features a 200hp square, 86x86mm bore and stroke and high-tech direct injection. Therefore, we can only speculate that the STI version will be turbocharged. Bring it!
