Lets for the moment assume that you’re a wealthy individual, who wants uncompromising performance and track ready capabilities from your car, right out of the box. But you also want this car to be road legal… Thankfully there are several options for you, the latest of which is the tuned BMW, deemed the “1M RS.” Built by renowned performance shop TUNINGWERK, based out of Munich Germany, this 1M promises to deliver in more ways than one.

The rear differential has been modified with a shortened 3.25 ratio, with an optional 3.45 package also available. A second oil cooler has been added as part of an extensive cooling system overhaul, and the engine itself has been completely reworked to increase output. A street-friendly clutch is a nice addition, and rolling stock has been upgraded to lightweight 19x9-inch forged ATS wheels and Dunlop Sport Maxx tires. A minor weight reduction has been performed, mostly in the form of carbon body panels and Recaro Pole Position racing bucket seats.

TUNINGWERK says there is plenty of room for more hardcore refinement and weight reduction for serious racers, but they wanted to keep the car reasonable for customers who will drive it on the streets. So what’s the catch, you’re asking? The 1M RS costs almost €120,000, and as you probably have guessed by now, is not sold in the US. Darn!
