The Scion version of this seductive coupe is a singular model, while the Subaru BRZ is offered in Premium and Limited versions. The extra $1,305 in the BRZ’s bottom line buys you navigation, XM radio, and slightly different front and rear fasciae compared with the FR-S.
The base Premium BRZ includes Bluetooth connectivity, an eight-speaker audio system, navigation, XM radio and, a Torsen LSD. For $28,250, the Limited model adds a leather/alcantra interior, climate control, keyless entry/start, heated front seats, foglights, and a rear spoiler. Subaru reports 6,000 units will be shipped to North America in 2012, and there was some drama as rumors had Subaru importing only 6,000 units annually. Things are looking up, as Subaru has 1,000 preorders already on the books.
