The New England Forest Rally definitely didn’t start out as anyone had intended. At one point being close to last place in class while dealing with power issues throughout the weekend, battling back to earn a podium spot and taking 3rd place was a miracle and all the team could’ve asked for. The precious points helped to keep the Sparco Rally xD team in the hunt for the overall 2wd championship with only one event remaining in the series. The latest video series webisode from the New England Forest rally is live now and you can see it here:

With just the Olympus Rally remaining later this September, the Sparco Rally xD team looks to complete its first ever full rally championship campaign. But before that, the team looks to accomplish yet another first in it’s young racing history. The Sparco Rally xD team leaves this weekend to Colorado Springs to campaign in the historic Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Given the relatively low “tarmac” stage miles within the current series, the PPIHC event will allow the team to run a full special tarmac set-up at Pikes Peak the entire time. “We’re really looking forward to participating in this historic event. Scion Racing has some big plans for this year’s Fan Fest, so come check it out. Plus with all the recent developments in Colorado Springs, we are really encouraged to help out the community and bring awareness to the recent fires and struggles that area has had to deal with,” said team manager Philip Chase.

Stayed tuned for Scion Racing’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb video following the event.

No, it won't be called the GTO. This car is called the 488 Pista, like the Italian word for "race track." It also looks absolutely incredible.
