Rumors have been flying about the U.S. availability of factory tuning parts for the Scion FR-S. These rumors have been fueled by news of TRD Japan’s tuning menu for the GT-86. Well things are becoming clearer.
Scion dealers will be offering a four-piece FR-S body-tuning package from Five Axis. The kit, which consists of a lower lip, rockers, and a rear diffuser, can be ordered prepainted. Buzz puts pricing well under $2,000, and an optional rear wing is also available. TRD will get in the game with a slew of parts derived from its GT-86 concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Items sure to be in the catalog include a short shifter, a high-flow intake system, some manner of exhaust upgrade, a strut tower brace, a brake upgrade, and a variety of suspension bits. Stay tuned.
