2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Driver of the Year and Metal Mulisha founder Brian “The General” Deegan took his second consecutive championship title this weekend at The Firebird International Raceway in the Pro 2 Unlimited series.

Brian led a close three-way battle for the championship title in Saturday’s Pro 2 Unlimited Class. A full course caution was thrown at the end of lap one and on the restart lap, Brian moved up to third. Battling it out for the remainder of the race it was Brian who ultimately took 1st in the end claiming his second consecutive championship title. This was a tough season but one he knew he wanted and ultimately could take as long as he continued to drive smart.

Brian also took home 1st place at Firebird International Raceway in the Pro Lite Unlimited. Brian got out front from the get-go holding the lead the entire race, picking up his fourth win this season.

" I want to thank all of my fans for the support, my family, my friends and my sponsors! I couldn't have had a better weekend and season. My goal at the beginning of the season was to win back to back Pro 2 championships, it was an awesome battle to the end. I plan on coming back next year for the tree-peat," stated Brian.
