At the season opener of Formula D in Long Beach, Hankook driver Chris Forsberg scored a third place victory. This marks the eight year of Hankook's participation in the series as well as the third year as official series sponsor.

Forsberg raced to his third place victory driving the Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z, which among the other Hankook drivers races on Ventus RS-3 Extreme Performance tires. This marks a successful victory for Hankook as well as the 10th season of Formula Drift in the US.
