BMW M5 World Record setting drift

As if the BMW M5 sedan doesn't already knock the socks off other comparable cars, Johan Schwartz of the BMW Performance Center (Greenville, SC), just made the M5 even more awesome. Set on a slick 841-foot circumference, Johan completed a total of 51.278 miles of a constant drift on just one set of Continental tires.

You may be surprised to discover that these were not a specially developed tire or anything like that, rather these were an off-the-shelf set of ContiSportContact 5P's, which just makes this world record even more amazing.

But this wasn't just done for kicks, in fact this record breaking drift helped to raise $20,000 for the BMW Charity Pro-Am.
