As we've stated previously in our Spoon Sports NSX Type-R GT cover story, Honda created five examples of the NSX Type-R GT in order to homologate the car for JGTC/Super GT competition. What does that mean exactly? By making five NSXs that wore bigger bumpers and scoops, Honda was given the green light to bridge the gap between the NSX Type-R road car that they produced and the dramatically sculpted NSX Super GT racecar that they wanted to produce.
