Continental Tire Wants to Know: 'How Eco Are You?'
* Company marks launch of new ProContact(tm) with EcoPlus Technology with Eco Photo Contest
* Grand Prize is a luxurious trip to Rio de Janiero

Fort Mill, SC -- (May 14, 2010) -- To celebrate the launch of its new ProContact(tm) with EcoPlus Technology tire line, Continental Tire is asking: "How Eco Are You?" with a photo contest that challenges consumers to enter their most creative and original ecologically-impactful photos. "The Green Movement is here to stay, and with the launch of our new ProContact with EcoPlus Technology, Continental Tire is re-affirming its commitment to being part of the solution for sustaining the planet," said Dana Zamalloa, manager of public relations and communications, Continental Tire. "This contest is our way of asking consumers to look at the world in a more eco-friendly way, and to show us their best creative efforts in doing that."

The contest runs May 17-August 22, 2010. Grand Prize is a once-in-a-lifetime 5 day/4 night trip to The Vila Gale Eco Resort De Angra Dos Reis in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, for two adults, including coach-class round-trip airfare, breakfast each morning, an Ecological Tour Of Angra Dos Reis, return transfers, buffet lunch, a schooner cruise of nearby islands, and comprehensive travel insurance for two adults. Three First Prize Winners will receive a set of four Continental ProContact(tm) with EcoPlus Technology tires, and two Second Prize Winners will receive a Flip Video Camcorder(tm).

To enter, all entrants must be a legal resident of the U.S. and eighteen (18) years of age or older. To submit photos, visit www.continentaltire.com, click on the "How Eco Are You?" banner, and upload the photo submission along with other identifying information, including name, age, occupation, address, email address and phone number. All entries must be in .jpg format, and must be no more than eighteen (18) months old. All eligible entries received will be posted at www.continentaltire.com, where they will be rated by visitors to www.continentaltire.com. The contest is void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island and the U.S. Territories. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The ProContact(tm) with EcoPlus Technology is Continental's most innovative new tire line to date. This premium all-season tire, which replaces the ContiProContact touring tire, was developed to deliver improved fuel economy and treadwear and reduce harmful CO2 emissions. What's even more impressive is that this tire provides these benefits without sacrificing performance, especially wet braking.

"Continental is committed to finding 'real world' environmental solutions, and this new tire line is a major step in that direction," Zamalloa added.
